- Julie Hesmondhalgh and Jason Hughes appear in The Pact, now available on BBC iPlayer.

- Episode 20 of The Painkiller’s Podcast, featuring Anna Chancellor and sound design by Tingying Dong, is now available.

- Rebecca Tebbett and Scarlett Courtney have joined Megan Cusack in series 10 of Call The Midwife. Catch up now on BBC iPlayer.
- Eva Scott has written and performed Dawn’t Stop Believing, one of three short plays launching 45North’s Written On The Waves season 2. Coming soon, Emily Carewe (also Creative Producer for Theatre at 45North) will star in On The Line. Find out more here.
- Amit Shah can be seen in web comedy series In The Balance, produced by Microsoft and now available on YouTube. Watch the trailer now.
- Robert Perkins is the Stage Manager for The Language of Kindness, based on the best-selling nursing memoir, which is now touring the UK.
- Infinite, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, will be released in the US on Paramount+ this June.
- Tingying Dong is sound designer for The Sun, The Moon, And The Stars at Theatre Royal Stratford East from 2-19 June. She has also provided sound design for A Whole New World and BREATHE in Donmar Warehouse’s ‘Take The Stage: Blindness’ project.
- Abubakar Salim features in video game Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, out on 4 June.
- The second season of Feel Good, starring Anthony Head, will be released on Netflix on 4 June.
- Irish drama Smother, starring Niamh Walsh, begins in the UK on Alibi on 7 June.
- Sophie Bentinck’s play Pauline is showing at the Pleasance Theatre on 10 June.
- Four National Theatre Live productions, including Frankenstein and Hamletstarring Benedict Cumberbatch, will be available on Amazon Prime Video from 11 June.
- Tom Claxton and Ryan Ellsworth have been announced amongst the cast for Open Air Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet, playing from 17 June – 24 July.
- Laura Howard will be the Assistant Lighting Designer for Constellations, playing on the West End from 18 June.
- Between 18 June - 24 July, Esh Alladi will star in The Overseas Student – one of three short plays in the show Out West at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre.
- 2020 Production & Technical Arts graduate Mark Smith will be the Assistant Stage Manager for Staircase, showing at Southwark Playhouse from 23 June – 17 July.
- Susannah Wise’s debut novel This Fragile Earth will be published on 24 June.
Things to look forward to
- Jim Broadbent and Rebecca Humphries have been cast in the UK remake of Call My Agent!
- Leonard Cook and Edward Howells have joined the cast of The Play That Goes Wrong for its UK tour this summer. Ellie Morris is part of the West End cast.
- Big Big Sky, featuring sound design by Laura Howard, will be showing at Hampstead Theatre from 30 July – 11 September.
- George Asprey will star in The Lion King when it returns to the Lyceum Theatre on 29 July.
- Annie May Fletcher will be a Sound Associate for Carousel at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre from 31 July to 25 September.
- Cabaret, directed by Rebecca Frecknall, opens on the West End this November.
- Noughts + Crosses is returning to BBC One for a second series, starring Jonathan Ajayi and Paterson Joseph.
- Anna Maxwell Martin will star in ITV’s upcoming thriller Hollington Drive.
- Selina Jones and James Harkness are joining Abubakar Salim in season 2 of Raised By Wolves.
- Niamh Walsh has been announced as part of the cast for the Netflix adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman.
- The Peripheral, starring Gary Carr and Charlotte Riley, has begun filming.
- Leah Harvey will appear alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus in A24’s drama Tuesday.
Latest announcements
- The Old Vic has announced Tinuke Craig as the next Baylis Director, joining the theatre for 12 months to direct a full-scale production, receive a fund to commission a new piece of work, and shadow the Artistic Director.
- Vespertilio has been nominated for the OnComm at the Offies Awards in partnership with Off West End, recognising online shows. During its run at the King’s Head Theatre, Vespertilio featured several alum including Annie May Fletcher (sound designer), Benedict Salter and Rhiannon Neads (cast members), and Lucy Jane Atkinson (director).
- HOTTER, the project co-created by Ell Potter, has been nominated in the British Podcast Awards for ‘Lem N Ginge: The Princess of Kakos’.
