- Julie Hesmondhalgh’s book An Actor’s Alphabet is out now, published by Nick Hern Books.
- 1899, starring Emily Beecham, is now available to stream on Netflix.
- Oliver Nicholas is currently starring as George McFly in Back to the Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre.
- Shaun Mendum’s short film The Jacket premiered on BBC Four in November. Catch up with Screengrabbed Too: BBC Introducing Arts on BBC iPlayer to watch the film.
- Recently, Lucy Phelps appeared in Milton Court Concert Hall’s Felix and Fanny: Carducci Quartet, which played on 24 November.
- Brandon Boruch is currently starring in South Devon Railway’s Polar Express.
- Until 15 January 2023, Sera Mustafa is starring in Polka Theatre’s festive production of Crackers. Anna Short is the Sound Designer.
- Joe Boylan and Leander Deeny are part of the cast for The Great Christmas Feast at the Lost Estate until 15 January 2023.
- Lisa Spirling is directing the Wagatha Christie Trial, running at Wyndham's Theatre until 10 January 2023.
- The Flatshare, starring Anthony Welsh and Jordan Peters, is released on Paramount+ on 1 December.
- From 2 December, Your Christmas Or Mine will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime, starring Harriet Walter.
- Orr Benezra Segal is currently the Associate Director on The Band’s Visit, running at Donmar Warehouse until 3 December.
- Nadia Parkes, Robert Emms and Jeremy Irvine are starring in This Is Christmas, arriving on Sky Cinema this December.
- Shazia Nicholls is starring in Paradise Now! at the Bush Theatre from 2 December – 21 January.
- Classical Acting graduate James Holloway is releasing a debut EP, Halfway, on 2 December.
- Until 3 December, Isabella Verrico is starring in Wasted at Jack Studio Theatre.
- Belle Bao is one of the directors taking part in Pass It On at Theatre 503, which runs until 3 December.
- Jonathan Case is featuring in BBC audio docu-drama The Witch Farm, with the final episode released on 5 December.
- Miya James is starring in Little Red Robin Hood at Battersea Arts Centre from 6 December – 8 January.
- From 8 – 18 December, Luke Hammond is starring in Wishes On The Wind at Live Theatre in Newcastle.
- Tingying Dong is sound designing Watch on the Rhine, opening at Donmar Warehouse on 9 December. The production stars John Light and Patricia Hodge.
- Lewis Bruniges is starring in Tunnels at the Park Theatre until 10 December.
- Hermione Norris will be part of the cast of Riches, released internationally on Amazon Prime on 2 December and on ITVX in the UK on 22 December.
Things to look forward to
- In April 2023, Bathsheba Piepe is starring in The Woman Who Turned Into A Tree at Omnibus Theatre.
- Anthony Lau is directing The Good Person of Szechwan next year, with Alexandra Faye Braithwaite as Sound Designer. Tim Samuels, Jon Chewand 2022 graduate Ami Tredrea will feature in the cast. The production opens at Sheffield Theatre on 11 March 2023 and moves to Lyric Hammersmith from 15 April 2023.
- 2022 graduate Elinor Crawley has joined the cast of BBC true-crime drama, The Steeltown Murders.
- Mischief Theatre’s Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, based on the character created for Magic Goes Wrong, will begin in the West End and touring the UK next January, with a script by Henry Shields, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Lewis.
- Daisy Haggard and Paterson Joseph are set to star in BBC series Boat Story.
- From 1 – 23 February 2023, Smoke is showing at Southwark Playhouse, starring Meaghan Martin, directed by Júlia Levai, with lighting design by Rajiv Pattani.
- Aoife Kennan will star in Scratches at the Vault Festival in 2023, showing from 31 January – 5 February.
- Charlie Merriman is writing and starring in Wonder Drug: A Comedy About Cystic Fibrosis at the Vault Festival on 15 and 16 February 2023.
- Next February, Sam Crerar will be in Happy Meal at Brixton House Theatre.
- Joshua (and Me), directed by Lucy Jane Atkinson, will also be at the Vault Festival, on 25 and 26 February 2023.
- From March 2023, Cameron Johnson will be starring in the Bridge Theatre’s new production of Guys and Dolls.
- Joseph Quinn is in talks to star in A Quiet Place: Day One, set to be released in 2024.
- Hugh Coles is heading to Broadway next summer to reprise the role of George McFly in Broadway’s Back to the Future: The Musical.
- Brian Cox will be playing Johann Sebastian Bach in new play The Score at Theatre Royal Bath in October 2023.

- Congratulations to William Robinson, who has won the Duologues – Acting award at the London Pub Theatres Award 2022 for Bacon, which ran at Finborough Theatre.
- Congratulations to Jennifer Kirby who has been nominated at the Offies for Lead Performance in a Play for The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary.
- Congratulations to James Wallwork (Writer/Actor), Salvatore D'Aquilla(Writer/Actor), Luke Carroll and Mike Stevenson (Producers), and Tristan Shepherd (Director) who won Best Yorkshire Film at the Leeds International Film Festival for the film Robin.
- Congratulations to Anthony Lau who was amongst the winners at the UK Theatre Awards, winning in the Best Director category for co-directing Rock/Paper/Scissors. Jitney, directed by Tinuke Craig, was nominated for Best Play Revival.
