Sir Nigel Carrington is a distinguished leader with a career spanning over four decades in higher education, culture, business, and the arts. Educated at St John’s College, Oxford, Sir Nigel began his career in international corporate law. As Managing Partner at global law firm Baker McKenzie, he worked extensively with American clients and businesses, fostering strong transatlantic relationships and leading major international transactions. In 2008, Sir Nigel transitioned to higher education as Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Arts London (UAL), one of the world’s foremost creative universities.
